The Pulse Oximeter™ leverages the global ubiquity of mobile phones to provide non-invasive measurements of blood oxygen levels with a light sensor attached to a patient’s finger. Initially prototyped in 2010, the Pulse Oximeter™ is robust, accurate, portable and powered by a mobile phone. It includes an intuitive symbols-based display and makes pulse oximetry easy and accessible to use. Further, it utilizes the unique Vital Signs DSP™ audio interface to provide a low-cost, high quality mobile product that can be used anywhere. Measurements are simple, fast, convenient and highly accurate.
