Prime Fuelwood Cookstove

Prime Cookstoves provide high-efficiency, ultra clean biomass cookstoves. These stoves are top-lit updraft (TLUD) biomass stoves that use a preheating, counter-flow and co-firing burning mechanism. Suitable biomass fuels include fuelwood, wood chips, briquettes, coconut husk and corncobs.

Depending on fuel loading, the Prime Fuelwood cookstove can burn for 0.5-2 hours. The cookstove's size makes it suitable for household use with 4-6 members.

Prime Cookstoves was established in 2013 and has exported to more than 20 countries. More than 12,000 Prime cookstoves have been sold to through distributors in Indonesia, Cambodia, Zambia, South Africa and Senegal.

Impact assessments prove households use up to 60% less fuelwood, and users report time savings of 10 hours per household per week on cooking and fuel gathering.
