The Solar Sister Team recruits, trains, and supports new entrepreneurs and supplies them with durable, affordable, solar-powered products and clean cookstoves. Next, Solar Sister Entrepreneurs earn income through selling products directly to people without power. Lastly, communities benefit from the positive financial, educational, and health impacts of clean energy solutions.

History & Development

Solar Sister currently operates in Nigeria and Tanzania, with plans to expand to other countries across Sub-Saharan Africa. Cumulatively, they have recruited, trained, and supported over 5,000 clean energy entrepreneurs, and reached over 1.7 million end-users with off-grid clean energy technologies.
